B2B PR & communications agency is seeking a MANAGER OF CLIENT RELATIONS to serve as a primary client contact leading B2B tech accounts and guiding public relations strategies.

MANAGER OF CLIENT RELATIONS (B2B Tech) RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee five accounts within the B2B technology space.
  • Serve as primary client contact and facilitate information flow from clients to the rest of the team.
  • Position yourself as the go-to expert on marketing communications and public relations so clients come to you first for guidance, brainstorming and strategy.
  • Oversee the development of client/company/product narrative and messaging.
  • Provide direction, edits and final approval on all messaging and related collateral created by staff, including press releases, pitches, briefings, fact sheets, coverage reports and backgrounders.
  • Support new business opportunities - attending new business meetings, co-developing proposals and helping close new client contracts.
  • Participate in vetting new business opportunities.
  • Create a collaborative and motivated team environment.

MANAGER OF CLIENT RELATIONS (B2B Tech) REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience leading B2B technology accounts at an agency or within a communications/PR department at a tech company
  • Strong client relations with proven experience leading teams and serving as the main client POC.
  • Critical thinker who can make decisions with limited supervision, effectively managing teams and timelines across multiple projects.
  • Calm, cool, and collected around senior leadership while being unafraid to share thoughts and recommendations.
  • Always at the forefront of industry trends and news, providing proactive recommendations for clients.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape, what drives news and how to build successful media relations programs.
  • Experience growing retainers through additional offerings, securing client referrals and assisting with new business proposals is preferred.
  • Desire to work in an incredible team environment full of intelligent, ambitious, and nice colleagues whom truly support each other.

Details & Logistics:

  • Location: MUST be able to go into the Austin, TX office 3 days a week. Relocation and travel reimbursement will not be provided.
  • Annual Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (dependent on skillset and experience); additionally, all employees are eligible for the agency's discretionary bonus program with earning potential increasing based on level.
