London based integrated communications agency seeks a Senior Account Manager to join its award-winning health team whose mission is to extend and enhance people’s lives by building campaigns that change the way patients, professionals and policymakers think and act.

Working across three core specialisms: government affairs, communications, and advocacy; the work is supported by teams of creatives, strategists, digital experts, and behaviour change consultants.

They operate both in the UK market and at a Global/European level, working on multi-market programmes across the product life cycle and at enterprise level. Recently this has included pre-launch market shaping to support access to a new therapy for an inherited blood disorder, driving positive reimbursement decisions for a rare autoimmune disease, overcoming systemic policy barriers in respiratory disease, supporting clients engage with politico-regulatory change, and developing sustainability communications and advocacy strategies.

As an Account Manager you will:

  • Assist with managing servicing and profitability and being the day to day client contact
  • Maintain a good understanding of clients’ business objectives, political and policy issues and managing of programmes to enable them to meet those objectives
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of system architecture into which policy will be applied, oversee the drafting of policymaker and media materials whilst guiding and contributing to policy analysis
  • Collect, log, manipulate and analyse data whilst highlighting key themes that will engage clients and external audiences
  • Assist with new business preparation and pitching whilst maintaining prospect contacts.
  • Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, proactively developing material and awareness of the digital offering
  • Manage and mentor junior team members and providing on the job training

You will:

  • Have experience within agency/consultancy or in-house role within a commercial or patient/professional group setting
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of the healthcare landscape and how different communications channels can be used to influence opinion and deliver commercial returns
  • Excellent organisational, time management and project management skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skill
