With a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace, this agency offers a unique opportunity for a driven Account Director—or a standout Senior Account Manager ready to step up—to join their Melbourne-based Public Relations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated PR-led campaigns spanning media relations, events, influencer partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Collaborate with experts across strategy, creative, digital, and multicultural communications to craft impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse Australian audiences.

  • Apply strategic communications expertise to ensure best-in-class campaign planning and execution.

Client Engagement & Media Relations

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering high-level counsel and tailored communication strategies.

  • Engage proactively with media contacts, including in-language channels, to secure high-impact coverage.

  • Craft compelling written materials, including media releases, stakeholder plans, and campaign messaging.

  • Provide guidance and support for large-scale events, ensuring smooth execution of complex, high-profile activations.

Business Growth & Agency Contribution

  • Drive organic growth within existing client accounts while identifying and contributing to new business opportunities.

  • Play a key role in the research, writing, and delivery of new business pitches and proposals.

  • Contribute to the agency’s culture by actively mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 plus years of PR, communications, or related experience, ideally within an agency environment.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR and integrated campaign plans.

  • Strong writing skills with meticulous attention to detail across multiple formats.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Australian media landscape, with a solid network of journalist and influencer contacts.

  • Demonstrated experience working with talent, including negotiating with ambassadors and influencers.

  • Experience planning and managing high-profile media and stakeholder events.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and lead a high-performing team.

  • Interest in or experience engaging with multicultural communities, with an understanding of Australia’s diverse demographics and relevant policies.

  • Experience in government or behaviour-change campaigns would be a bonus.
